Accreditation

The Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) is an international, not-for-profit organization in the air movement and control industry. AMCA’s mission is to advance the knowledge of air systems and uphold industry integrity on behalf of AMCA members worldwide. Through education and active advocacy, AMCA provides a forward-moving environment for each of their members. Above all else, AMCA strives to advance the industry and improve the community that it encompasses.

Geoff Sheard spent eight years on the AMCA Board, including one year a President and one year as Chairman. As a Past President of AMCA, Geoff Sheard remains involved in the organization and has established relationships with both staff and the Executive Director that facilitate:

  • The application process for companies wishing to join AMCA
  • The design and AMCA accreditation of new laboratories
  • The AMCA certification of air movement or air control products
AMCA Membership

Although AMCA has members in every global region, they are particularly strong in the US, and any air movement or air control company wishing to establish a permanent presence in the US is advised to join AMCA.

AMCA requires that companies based in the US wishing to become members have a US manufacturing facility owned by the US legal entity. As a part of the membership application process, AMCA staff will visit the US manufacturing facility, verify that the company is a manufacturer and that the company is operating in accordance with industry best-practices.

Geoff Sheard is familiar with the AMCA membership application process, having worked with clients in different global regions with various organizational structures. Hence, AGS is able to manage the process to ensure that it is completed in a timely manner.
